Apple ipad 2- engineering student affordable..

Apple products are generally like diamonds to most engineering or similar age group k students.... thats "NOT AFFORDABLE",,...
But after the launch of apple ipad 2 it seems so much really affordable to everyone...
Its cheaper than a good laptop for a middle class student who would  spend around 30,000 on his laptop...(mostly cse though)...But its not a lappy
It is a gadget...cannot replac a lappy but then who doesnt want a super gadget at that price!!!
I personally am not a big fan of apple products due to their high price and availability of same features on different reliable brands of far low prices...
But this one....phew!!! the ultimate gadget everyone would love to have!!!!
Felt it so good and so mesmerizing due to mostly the cost and ofcourse the awesome features at that cost...its just "27000" thats less than a good lappy buddies!!
All features are available here
The  features that hooked my attention are
1.The 10 hour battery life..
2.The multi touch feature
3.Awesome camera and a smart cover that i've been waitin for
4.ios4- World's most advanced mobile operating system

The super fast graphics are the most attractive part to gamers..Also faster graphics help applications perform better.

Coming to the camera part ,It has two cameras...one in front and other in the back...Though they look tiny they make a big deal.!!
It’s HD, so whatever you shoot is a mini-masterpiece. And you can take wacky snapshots in Photo Booth. It’s the most fun a face can have. ;-)

Display- its 9.7 inches of high resolution for images videos and anything and everythin that yuo wanna see..
LED backlighting makes everything you see remarkably crisp, vivid, and bright. Even in places with low light, like an airplane. And there’s no wrong way to hold iPad. It’s designed to show off everything in portrait and landscape,
The 3g services add as up like the topping on a pizza...thats the main part... But unfortunately they are to be subscribed seperately!!! Whats that now???
Yeay~!!! When you get do so many goods there should be atleast few draawbacks(nazar naa lagjaaye!!!)

Remaining all features are basic features which you can expect in an apple product..
Finally SteveJobs caught the idea in wind to increase apple sales -"Less cost more features" mantra to awesome increase in sales amoung indian youth!!!

Facebook piggybacking on twitter??

Yesterday i made many tweets and tweet replies to people of a recent blog post of mine. Within 2 hours i had more than 200 hits but when i go to referring sites under stats, i find that facebook is on top at 10 and seesmic has 1, twitter 4 and twitlonger 2. I used twitlonger for longer tweets and was using seesmic client on my android.

It let me thinking that what is happening. Then i saw what's happening: when you use the twitter app on fb or any other twitter app, it pulls your tweets to fb. Due to lower server loads compared to twitter, fb is becoming a top referrer. May be twitter doesn't if u tweet same link to multiple people?  But it was interesting to observe this.

Bollywood music piracy & Google music India

Sometime back Google launched an online Bollywood music service called Google Music India. On opening the site, I was curious about the licensing issues etc being from a background where I had read about software and music industry patents, DRM, etc. I asked Glyn Moody, the famous tech blogger and journalist, and he told me about such things existing in China. In fact I'm writing this article inspired by him.

It was almost 2 months back. Then I found that Google had partnered with saavn.com, an Indian site providing legal streaming music( Google won't do illegal business obviously! ). Now though, it has 2 more partners:  in.com & Saregama, a music company that dominated the market earlier under the mane HMV(His Master's Voice). Now Google music India also provides Telugu music, in addition to Hindi music.

I am yet confused about the license issues and treaties it has with the music industry, but yeah, having streaming music free will only drive up album sales as they don't get to download it, still get to "sample it". You like it and then buy it, much like what bookshops provide.

On the other hand you have some piracy sites, the most popular being Songs.pk. In Pakistan, due to certain anti-Indian sentiments, you have a host of piracy sites catering to Bollywood audience. Another reason is the oppressive regime in Pakistan that doesn't let all movies be released etc, that leads them to pirate it. Songs.pk and similar sites surprisingly draw ads from even famous Indian potential advertisers like Amity University. The funniest part is that sites like apniISP.com get ads from distributors of the movies whose content they are pirating( most probably due to advertising distributors' agencies): look at the screenshot here--

Screen shot-- notice the ad by EROS for its new movie Challo Dilli

Only time will tell what dominates, but definitely Google made the plunge at just the right time, as now the bandwidth is appreciable good in India and has a good per capita internet usage.
