STEVE JOBS ( 1955-2011)

Steve Jobs... A name that could just inspire a lot of people with its mere sound...
A visionary, probably the smartest person of our era, former ceo and co founder of apple, is no more...
He took his last breath surrounded by his family in california.
The mastermind who gave the world iPad,iPhone, iMac and iTunes left the world forever at the age of 56.
I still cant believe it actually happened... He is the reason for many people to join the industry. He was the living legend. The biggest loss of the decade....
Apple paid homage to their visionary leader by changing their website to a big black-and-white photograph of him with the caption "Steve Jobs: 1955-2011." The flags outside the company's headquarters at 1 Infinite Loop flew at half mast...
Jobs' health had been a controversial topic for years and his battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer a deep concern to Apple fans and investors.
In past years, even board members have confided to friends their concern that Jobs, in his quest for privacy, was not being forthcoming enough with directors about the true condition of his health.
Now, despite much investor confidence in Cook, who has stood in for his boss during three leaves of absence, there remain concerns about whether Apple would stay a creative force to be reckoned with in the longer term without its visionary.
Jobs died one day after the consumer electronics powerhouse unveiled its latest iPhone, the gadget that transformed mobile communications and catapulted Apple to the highest echelons of the tech world.
His death triggered an immediate outpouring of sympathy.
"The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come," Gates said. "For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."
Outside an Apple store in New York, mourners laid candles, bouquets of flowers, an apple and an iPod Touch in a makeshift memorial.
"I think half the world found out about his death on an Apple device," said Robbie Sokolowsky, 32, an employee for an online marketing company, who lit a candle outside the store.
Cook said in a statement that Apple planned to hold a celebration of Jobs' life for employees "soon".
Neverthless a lot of people around the world are shattered.... RIP SteveJobs...We miss you...

APPLE SUED FOR iPHONE AND iPAD PATENT INFRINGEMENT!

Apple said late yesterday that it has been sued by the Taiwanese semiconductor design company Via Technologies for patent infringement about the iPhone and the iPad. Lately there's been many patent infringement cases in the media, and it seems that some companies have just discovered a new way of making millions of dollars on the back of other high tech firms, something that Mark Cuban has recently discovered and is publicly voicing his frustration.
Microsoft is also on the same path, except that it's using a bit of a different method: "We can sell you some insurance that we won't sue you, but you have to give us some money in order that we won't sue you."
The patents involved, Via's complaint charges, are for technology used in microprocessors in Apple's iOS products that "generally provides efficient loading of data in the microprocessors."
Specifically, the three patents are 6,253,312 "Method and apparatus for double operand load", and 6,754,810, a continuation and refinement of the earlier 6,253,311 patent, both of which being entitled
"Instruction set for bi-directional conversion and transfer of integer and floating point data".
The lawsuit is joined by co-plaintiffs CenTaur Technology of Austin, Texas and IP-First LLC of Fremont, California, both subsidiaries of Via Technologies. The suit was filed in the Delaware U.S. District Court yesterday.
The "Accused Apple Products" named in the suit are the iPad and iPad 2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4 CDMA, fourth-generation iPod touch, and second-generation Apple TV-- in other words, just about every product that Apple makes these days!
The complaint requests that Apple be enjoined from importing any of these into the U.S. or for that matter, from manufacturing them in the United States.
The suit alleges that Apple's infringment be deemed "willful" – which would triple any damages that the court might award to VIA and its subsidiaries, should the court find in their favor. We predict some kind of a settlement soon.

STEVE JOBS RESIGNED???!!!!! LOL I DINT KNOW

Just came to browse on an chek mails and saw the most shocking news!~!!!! lol...lokpal bill and anna really did cover up all the media....news channels(local) missed it or did they give it least importance?
whatever happened...Steve Jobs resigned as ceo of apple for medical reasons.
Official news was: "Apple’s Board of Directors today announced that Steve Jobs has resigned as Chief Executive Officer, and the Board has named Tim Cook, previously Apple’s Chief Operating Officer, as the company’s new CEO. Jobs has been elected Chairman of the Board and Cook will join the Board, effective immediately."
Tim cook???? hmmm...
Though he resigned , the establishment itself is strong enough to go on without any loss for next five years and talkin after that.... well...we'll have to see.
It maybe a comeback chance for both Microsoft and Sony as well but still nothing can be precisely predicted.
Jobs has built his empire with such a great effort and choice that it makes hard to predict what may come.
He was considered as the most innovative person of the decade...
Well no more specific info could be gathered regarding what "medical reasons" were responsible for resigning but my bets are on " stress "mainly.
Everybody needs to rest and enjoy his achievements and creations...without it working your ass out means nothing!!!
After all ...we have only one small life in hands :)
Good bye steve :)
